Ginger Lemon Tisane is one of my favorite drinks and this method for how to make ginger tisane it's really easy. I always use some fresh ginger during cold and flu season.
Ginger helps to settle stomach aches and nausea, alleviate symptoms from muscle pain, menstrual cramps or coughs.
In addition I find that drinking this Ginger Lemon Tisane is simply refreshing and relaxing.
In order to make this tisane successfully, the trick is to truly simmer the ginger root, not just steep it in hot water so you're sure to extract the flavor and “essence” of ginger.

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 lemon wedge
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup or brown sugar - to taste, as sweeteners (optional)
Peel the ginger and slice it thinly, in small pieces. Use caution when cutting the ginger. Peeling is optional, if you have washed it well.
Pour boiling water into the tea cup and let the ginger and the lemon steep for 7/10 minuti, then drink it ;-)
I prefer not to add sugar or honey
